Starring Lee Young-Ae and Lee Mu-Saeng, Maestra: Strings of Truth episode 4 aired on Sunday, December 17, 2023, on Disney Plus and tvN. The K-drama revolves around orchestra conductor Cha Se-Eum choosing work over personal life.
In episode 4, Cha Se-Eum (Lee Young-Ae) finds out Lee A-Jin (Lee Si-Won) is pregnant with her husband’s child. Se-Eum keeps her calm, finishes composing a song with Kim Phil (Kim Young-Jae), and then hands him divorce papers.
The next day, Se-Eum is on her way to the orchestra theatre when she meets with an accident. After refusing blood tests, her ex-boyfriend and theatre director, Yoo Jeong-Jae (Lee Mu-Saeng), gets suspicious. He later finds out about her connection to Remington’s disease.

Maestra: Strings of Truth episode 4 begins with Cha Se-Eum visiting her husband, Kim Phil. She makes herself clear that her personal life will not affect her orchestra. Hence, she helps Phil compose a song.
A-Jin later barges into the apartment and tells the couple that she is pregnant with Phil’s child. Meanwhile, Se-Eum’s mother, who is in a nursing home, keeps calling her name. When Young-Ae’s character meets her father, he requests her to meet her mother. However, she changes the subject, hinting at past trauma.
Cha Se-Eum gets into an accident the next day when her and A-Jin’s cars crash. At the hospital, Se-Eum refuses blood tests after her father insists on checking whether or not she has inherited her mother’s disease. So far, the characters didn’t mention the medical term. Yoo Jeong-Jae finds it suspicious and recalls when Se-Eum reacted the same way in the past.
Meanwhile, a detective approaches A-Jin regarding the accident. It appears she intentionally hit Se-Eum’s car. However, the detective says that someone tampered with A-Jin’s car’s brakes and asks her if she is suspicious of anyone. She points her finger at Se-Eum.
Towards the end of K-drama‘s latest episode, Jeong-Jae visits Se-Eum’s mother’s nursing home where he finds out about her Remington’s disease. His secretary informs him, “There’s a 50% chance of inheriting it. Your body slowly stiffens over time, and your memory starts to fade.”
Maestra: Strings of Truth episode 4 ends with Se-Eum moving towards her orchestra stage as her team and the audience await. Just before she is about to enter the stage, Jeong-Jae says, “Remington’s,” and comes out of a corner of the room. She stops and looks behind with fear in her eyes.

Maestra: Strings of Truth episode 3 starts with Cha Se-Eum finding out about her husband’s affair with A-Jin. It showed that the latter intentionally let Se-Eum know about her and Phil’s romance.
Lee Young-Ae’s character is heartbroken and devastated but is not ready to affect her work. She conducts her orchestra the next day despite A-Jin’s presence. One of the members leaked the news of Phil’s adultery, which put a toll on Se-Eum’s upcoming concert.
To make things right, Se-Eum appeared on the news and denied Phil’s affair. On the other hand, Yoo Jeong-Jae (Lee Mu-Saeng) fired Phil from the company. While he thought of Se-Eum’s welfare, she didn’t appreciate his interference. After she appeared on the news, Jeong-Jae got angry and tried to cancel the concert again. The episode ended with A-Jin hinting at being pregnant while Se-Eum stayed with Phil to finish composing a song.
