Single’s Inferno returns with a brand new season 3 this week on Netflix. The Korean reality TV show became a hit series since its first season in 2021.
The reality TV show is about single men and women stranded on a deserted island called Inferno. The concept is to survive the competition by dating and finding their potential match. Once a couple is formed, they move to Paradise.
Paradise is where the pairs can share personal details about their jobs and family. Before that, they had to make connections without sharing personal information. The show ends either in a heartbreak or in a relationship.
When & where to watch Single’s Inferno Season 3?
Single’s Inferno Season 3 will premiere on Netflix on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. The number of episodes is still unknown. However, season 1 and 2 had eight and ten episodes, respectively.
The hosts of the reality series include Hong Jin-Kyung, Lee Da-Hee, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, and Hanhae. The four celebrities have been the co-hosts since the first season. This time, a special guest will join them.
Season 2’s Kim Jin-Young, aka Dex, will appear as one of the hosts in the upcoming installment. He rose to fame in South Korea because of the show. In an interview with Netflix Tudum, he revealed whether he has been dating anyone since season 2. He replied, “I think the first question should be: Do you have anyone to go on a date with? To be honest, I don’t think I’ll change my dating patterns much even after going on the show.”
He added, “I think I’ll still take my time getting to know my potential partner. One thing is for sure — I definitely learned that the opposite party won’t know anything if I don’t express myself. If there is someone I want to hold onto, I will try to be more proactive in expressing my interest compared to when I was on the show.”
Meanwhile, the streamer has not announced the contestants’ list yet. Going by the Single’s Inferno trailer, some participants’ names are Choi Hye-Seon, You Si-Eun, Yoona Ha-Jeong, and Lee Gwan-Hee.
Single’s Inferno producer teases change in season 3 rules
The reality TV series deals with single men and women sent to a secluded island to find love. They have to do all the household chores by themselves while flirting and getting to know their fellow contestants.
Each contestant’s primary goal is to find the right partner and move to Paradise. When a couple is formed, they are sent to Paradise, where they can enjoy quality time and room service. In the finale, a contestant approaches the partner they want to be with. If the partner accepts the proposal, they leave the island as a couple or else heartbroken singles.
The show’s producer, Kim Jae-Won, opened up on Season 3 rules in a recent press conference. He said, “We made a lot of changes to the rules. With Season 2, we got a lot of feedback for being too similar (to the previous season). So many things have changed, such as allowing couples to go to paradise within 30 minutes of meeting on the first day.”
He added, “There’s a hidden rule. So please see it for yourself through the show and find out.”
