The much-awaited Netflix K-drama Gyeongseong Creature has released a new set of photos, documenting significant tension as Park Seo-Joon and Han So-Hee embark on a journey to uncover a mysterious incident. The series, streaming exclusively on Netflix, will premiere its Part 1 on December 22, 2023. Subsequently, Part 2 will air on January 5, 2024. Viewers have been eagerly anticipating the drama because of its cast and storyline.
Gyeongseong Creature is based on a Line webtoon by the same name. The drama takes place in the dark period of 1945 Korea when the country was under Japanese colonial rule. The series follows the story of an entrepreneur and a private detective who collaborate in an intense fight for survival. The newly released pictures look promising in terms of giving viewers equal doses of drama, action, and thriller elements.
Park Seo-Joon & Han So-Hee investigate an unnatural incident in Gyeongseong Creature photos
The new photos for Gyeongseong Creature Part 1 tease the cast members, including the leads Park Seo-Joon and Han So-Hee, investigating a mysterious incident. Park Seo-Joon essays the role of Jang Tae-Sang, Gyeongseong’s most wealthy man and the owner of a pawn shop. The photos depict his wealthy lifestyle as he shares drinks and celebrates with the elite.
Meanwhile, Han So-Hee plays the role of private detective Yoon Chae-Ok, who specializes in finding missing people. She is also known for finding dead people. She is on the lookout for her missing mother when fate leads her to collaborate with Tae-Sang. However, their first meeting will be nothing short of dramatic as the photos show the two pointing their guns toward each other.
Both Tae-Sang and Chae-Ok lead different lifestyles. In the photos, the former plays pool, a sport for the elite. While Chae-Ok holds a gun, indicating her being on one of her missions. Although the two are poles apart, a common purpose will bring them together. Chae-Ok looks for her mother in disguise as an elite woman in the Japanese colonial era. Tae-Sang is given a mission to look for Ishikawa’s beloved mistress before the cherry blossoms fall.
The two will eventually join forces, which will lead them to a suspicious hospital. They will then battle mysterious creatures in this historical horror thriller. While the duo had a rough start, they will get closer with time. In one of the photos, Tae-Sang embraces Chae-Ok as they battle for survival. Meanwhile, other characters also have their work cut out for them.
The photos also released stills of fellow cast members, including Wi Ha-Joon (Gwon Jun-Taek), Claudia Kim (Maeda), Kim Hae-Sook (Nawol Daek), and Cho Han-Cheul (Yoon Joong-Won). They will play significant roles in the K-drama, subsequently helping Park Seo-Joon (Jang Tae-Sang) and Han So-Hee (Yoon Chae-Ok) achieve their mission.
