The much-awaited K-drama Flowers That Bloom That Night is all set to premiere on January 12, 2024, at 9:50 p.m. KST on MBC. The series follows the story of a young widow named Jo Yeo-Hwa, played by Lee Ha-Nee (Honey Lee). She has been living her life as a widow for the past 15 years. However, what others are unaware of is that she secretly lives a double life as a person who helps others in need.
In a newly released poster by MBC, viewers can understand Yeo-Hwa’s two distinct personalities. Lee Jong-Won will star opposite Lee Ha-Nee as the male lead. He plays Park Soo-Ho, a military officer with incredible combat skills and a keen, sharp mind. Soo-Ho is on a mission to catch Yeo-Hwa, but given her dual identity, viewers will have to wait and see how it all unfolds.
Lee Ha-Nee lives with a dual identity in Flowers That Bloom At Night poster
MBC released a new poster for Flowers That Bloom At Night on Monday, December 4, 2023. The poster is divided into two different segments, sorted by both bright and dark colors. In the bright palette, Yeo-Hwa is showcased as a widow in her mourning attire sitting in her house. However, her bright demeanor is a stark contrast to her double life shown on top of the poster.
The top palette of the poster is dark and eerie as Yeo-Hwa sits on top of the house. She is wearing clothes similar to that of a warrior gazing into viewers’ eyes. This depicts her alternate identity as a person, who helps others in need. Also, she wears a black mask to cover most of her face to conceal her identity. The only part that’s visible is her eyes, whose depth showcases her intent to save people’s lives.
The bright colors correspond to the day when she essays the role of a widowed woman in the Joseon era. The black attire corresponds to her role at night when she hides her real self to help others in need. Her dark aura in front of the moon corresponds to her being a savior – a light during people’s darkest times.
Other cast members of Flowers That Bloom At Night include Kim Song-Joong, Lee Ki-Woo, Seo Yi-Sook, Yoon Sa-Bong, Kim Mi-Kyung, Jo Jae-Yoon, Kim Kwang-Kyu, and more. Don’t forget to tune in to MBC on January 12, 2024, at 9:50 p.m. KST.
