In a November 24th interview held in Seoul, Nam Ji-Hyun opened up about what viewers can expect from the finale of High Cookie, as reported by OSEN. While talking about the ending of the K-drama series, the actress says, “I received the script and did not receive any additional information. When I personally read it, I thought Soo-Young must have died….At the meeting before starting this work, I asked about the ending….I asked because I didn’t want it to be a happy ending.”
She further added, “I couldn’t tell you if it was a happy ending or a sad ending, but I was told that selling cookies was a mistake and I would have to pay for it….Rather than being completely rehabilitated in the end, I think it was only after seeing people actually die that I realized it later….Rather than having stable emotions or thoughts, Suyeong has many imperfections….I think if you do something wrong, you should take responsibility….So, before I started, I asked him if he took responsibility for his mistakes. They told me that I don’t have to worry because all characters take responsibility for their mistakes”.
