The Matchmakers episode 4 was recently released. Starring Rowoon and Cho Yi-Hyun, the K-drama revolves around a young widow and widower turning into matchmakers.
Rowoon plays the king’s widowed son-in-law, Sim Jung-Woo, while Yi-Hyun essays the first premier’s widowed daughter-in-law, Jung Soon-Deok. The latter also has another identity as Yeo Joo-Daek, who is known as the best matchmaker in town.
In episode 4, seeing Joo-Daek made Jung-Woo’s heart flutter. The two help in changing the minds of three unmarried sisters after saving their mother from a cruel punishment.
The Matchmakers episode 4 ending explained: Jung-Woo meets Soon-Deok
The Matchmakers episode 4 begins with Soon-Deok (Cho Yi-Hyun) finding out about her clients’ mother’s arrest. Disguised as Joo-Daek, she snaps at Jung-Woo, thinking the latter had something to do with the arrest.
Jung-Woo (Rowoon), who has also hidden his royal identity, kills two birds with one stone. He tricks the defense minister and saves the three unmarried daughters’ mother. Indebted to him and Joo-Daek, the family agrees to seek the matchmakers’ help. Joo-Daek suggests the “first sight” task for the three sisters.
While she teaches them, Jung-Woo can’t seem to take his eyes off her. His heart aches whenever a couple or potential couple is around him, and he feels the same pain when Joo-Daek makes his heart flutter. Towards the end of episode 4, Soon-Deok is at a festival and searches for a place to change into Joo-Daek using makeup.
She sees Jung-Woo coming and gets nervous, worrying if he identifies her. However, she shrugs off her concerns thinking he cannot recognize her when her own brother and fellow matchmakers couldn’t. To her surprise, Jung-Woo recognized her in a second, and this is how he finally meets Soon-Deok. But question remains – will she tell him the reason behind her two identities? Viewers will find out in the next episode.
