Moon in the Day episodes 1 & 2 recap & spoilers
Moon in the Day premiered last week and opened on a positive note. Episode 1 began with Do Ha fighting in a war. As he executed Ha Ri-Ta’s entire family, she wanted to seek revenge.
The episode soon shifted to the present time where Do-Ha’s look-alike is top star Han Jun-Oh and Ri-Ta’s reincarnation is firefighter Kang Young-Hwa. The 21st-century characters meet during an advertisement shooting and end up fighting with each other.
Jun-Oh has a heart condition and thus he faints in his car. Suddenly, it starts to move forward towards the river. Young-Hwa runs towards the car to save him but it submerges into the water. She dives in and pulls out Jun-Oh but her feet get stuck. As she is drowning, Do Ha’s spirit appears and saves her. At the hospital, doctors declare Jun-Oh dead.
In Moon in the Day Episode 2, Jun-Oh’s body is in the morgue. Do Ha’s spirits enter his body. The first thing he does is to look for Young-Hwa. When they meet, she hugs him which takes him by surprise. He picks up a knife and tries to stab her but a mysterious force pushes him away from her. Later in the episode, Do Ha tries to kill Young-Hwa again but the same thing happens. He then realizes that a talisman is protecting her.
The reason why he waited for 1,500 years to possess a suitable body and kill Young-Hwa was shown in the beginning. Do Ha killed Ri-Ta’s family in the past but eventually they ended up as lovers. A few scenes from episodes 1 and 2 showed Do Ha protecting Ri-Ta from being caught. Despite being in love, Ri-Ta betrays and kills him. Hence, he turns into a vengeful spirit waiting to kill Ri-Ta. He finally gets the chance but a talisman protects her reincarnation Young-Hwa.
The upcoming episode will feature the lead characters being in danger. Moon in the Day airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays on ENA and Viki.
