Twinkling Watermelon is set to air a new episode on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 8:50 p.m. KST on tvN and Viki. The series follows the story of a CODA (child of deaf adult) student, who travels back in time to join a group of high schoolers and form the band Watermelon Sugar. He also finds his parents from the past.
Episode 14 of Twinkling Watermelon will show escalating tensions as new revelations begin to emerge. Eun-Gyeol (Ryeoun) and Eun-Yu (Seol In-Ah) find out that they are both time travelers and are each other’s helpers. While Eun-Gyeol has one task left before returning to the present, Eun-Yu races against time to find more about her mother, Se-Kyung. As such, the upcoming episode is definitely not one to miss.
Twinkling Watermelon episode 14: Seol In-Ah & Ryeoun find answers before returning to the present
The upcoming episode of Twinkling Watermelon picks off from where the previous one ended. Eun-Gyeol and Eun-Gyu find out that both of them are time travelers. As per the newly released trailer, they get down from the train to discuss their time travel journeys. Eun-Yu jokingly confronts him about flirting with her mother, Se-Kyung. However, Eun-Gyeol is as flustered as she is, considering he didn’t know Se-Kyung’s identity.
The rest of the band members embark on the music retreat. In the trailer, the members ask Cheong-Ah (Shin Eun-Soo) if she would accompany them on a bike ride. However, she politely declines and goes her own way. She finds Yi Chan (Choi Hyun-Wook), who hands her a cat to play with in case she’s bored.
The scene soon shifts to show rising tensions in the episode. Cheong-Ah is abused by her stepmother, following which she faxes Yi Chan to take her out of this hellhole. However, as it is clear from the trailer, her stepmother breaks the machine. Eun-Gyeol senses trouble in the household and comes to Cheong-Ah’s rescue.
In the trailer, Eun-Gyeol tells Eun-Yu that he has one more task to complete before returning to the present, and it is one of his hardest tasks yet. He is referring to rescuing Cheong-Ah from her evil stepmother and sending her to live with Yi Chan. Meanwhile, Eun-Yu has a mission that she also needs to complete before she travels back to 2023.
As the band members spend time with Choi Hyeon, Eun-Yu is curious about his identity. One of the members tell her that Choi Hyeon is the frontman of a popular band. The band name rings a bell in Eun-Yu’s mind since her mother might have mentioned it to her before. She starts researching about the band and finds out that the band disappeared right when they were popular.
Presumably, Choi Hyeon might be Se-Kyung’s father and Eun-Yu’s grandfather. The trailer ends with Eun-Yu reaching out to him with questions about his mother. Viewers will thus have to stay tuned to see what happens next.
