Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is an upcoming South Korean movie whose filming will begin in December 2023. It will reportedly star Lee Min-Ho and Ahn Hyo-Seop as the male leads, while BLACKPINK’s Jisoo has been offered the role of the female lead.
The movie is based on a popular webtoon of the same name. It follows the story of Kim Dok-Ja, whose world turns upside down when the novel he’s reading becomes a reality. In the new world, he is the only one who knows how the story ends, which is why he must do everything in his power to change the course of the outcome.
A lot of buzz has been around the Korean film due to the cast reports. Although the makers have not yet released an official cast announcement, the actors’ respective agencies have confirmed that they have received the offer.

Kim Byeong-Woo, who is known for having directed Terror Live (2013), will serve as the director of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint. Lee Min-Ho’s upcoming fantasy drama film is about Kim Dokja, the sole reader of a novel titled Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World.
When the real world turns into the novel, Dokja’s knowledge becomes important for survival. He meets Yoo Joong-Hyuk, the novel’s protagonist, to change the course of the plot. Together, they face deadly threats and aim to destroy the root of the chaos.
A Time Called You’s Ahn Hyo-Seop will reportedly play Dokja, while Lee Min-ho will essay the role of Joong-Hyuk. BLACKPINK’s Jisoo has been approached for the role of Lee Ji Hye, a student. However, the singer is yet to accept the offer.
Speaking about the movie offer, the K-pop idol’s agency, YG Entertainment said, “BLACKPINK’s Jisoo received an offer [to star in] ‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint’ and is reviewing [the offer] positively.”
According to Soompi, the other cast members include Jung Sung Il, Park Ho-San, Chae Soo-Bin, Shin Seung-Ho, and Nana. Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint release date has not been announced yet, but the filming will begin in December.
