Netflix’s much-awaited K-drama, Doona!, released a music video ahead of its premiere. Bae Suzy plays the titular character, who is a retired K-pop idol.
The music video, The Whispering Spell, features Lee Doo-na and members of Dream Sweet, a fictional girl group in this upcoming Korean drama. Bae Suzy and co-star Go Ah-sung showcases their idol talents in the clip, alongside La Chica’s Rian and Simeez, and singer Janet Suhh.

Doona! Release date, time, and cast
The highly anticipated South Korean drama, Doona!, premieres on Friday, October 20, 2023, on Netflix. The series will be available on Viki as well. This drama tells the story of a college student who has moved in with a former K-pop idol.
The lead pair is Bae Suzy as Lee Doo-na and Yang Se-jong and Lee Won-jun. The other cast members include Ha Young, Park Se-wan, Kim Min-ho, Lee Yu-bi, Kim Do-wan, Lee Jin-wook, and Go Ah-sung, among others.
Director Lee Jung-hyo, known for Romance Is a Bonus Book and Crash Landing On You, helmed this new K-drama.
Doona! centers around a retired K-pop idol Lee Doo-na and a college student Won-Jun. The two end up living together and eventually grow closer. According to the series’ trailer, she turns Won-Jun’s life upside down. From being friends to being intimate, they build a romantic relationship. However, the first teaser left viewers wondering as it ends with Doona saying, “Don’t fall for me.”
The official synopsis of the Netflix romance drama reads:
“A college student navigates life and school while dealing with a unique predicament — he’s living with a beautiful former K-pop idol.”
Meanwhile, viewers can enjoy The Whispering Spell music video ahead of the drama series’ premiere. Doona! will consist of nine episodes, but, it is unclear whether or not all of them will release at once.
