Rowoon is all set to appear in The Matchmakers, an upcoming South Korean drama with an interesting plotline. Starring opposite Cho Yi-hyun, Rowoon’s new photo still shows his various expressions.
The Destined With You actor plays nobleman Shim Jung-woo who became a young widower after his bride died during their wedding ceremony. As per the Joseon custom, he cannot remarry or find a government job. Hence, he decides to become a matchmaker.
KBS released new photo stills of Rowoon’s Jung-woo. In the pictures, he seems to be concerned about a wrong matchmaking.

Rowoon’s The Matchmakers release date, time and cast
The Matchmakers will premiere on Monday, October 30, 2023, at 9.45 PM KST on KBS. New episodes will air every Monday and Tuesday, and will also be available on Viki.
The cast of The Matchmakers Korean Drama includes Rowoon as Shim Jung-woo, Cho Yi-hyun as Jung Soon-deok, Park Ji-young as Park So-hyeon, Jung Shin-hye as Maeng Ha-na, Lee Hae-young as Jo Yeong-bae, Choi Hee-jin as Mrs. Jo, Jo Han-chul as King, Jin Hee-kyung as Queen, and Park Ji-won as Maeng Doo-ri among others.
The network has recently released new photo stills of Rowoon as matchmaker Shim Jung-woo. Three pictures are out — the first one shows Jung-woo with a serious look on his face while clutching his chest. The second photo features his goofy side as he covers his face with his palms and tries to take a peek from the gaps of his fingers. In the third still, he seems to slowly uncover his face as his eyes look suspicious and doubtful.
As KBS shared the stills on X (formerly Twitter), the caption gave hints about the scene from where the photos were taken in The Matchmakers. Jung-woo will showcase his matchmaking skills when he sees a mismatch.
The highly anticipated K-drama series centers around Jung-woo (Rowoon) and Jung Soon-deok (Cho Yi-hyun). Soon-deok is a young widow of the second son of the first vice-premier and lives a double life. While Soon-deok represents her elegant and calm side, Mrs. Yeo Joo represents her loud and confident side as Joo claims to be the best matchmaker in town.
The lead characters will meet each other when Jung-woo approaches Mrs. Yeo Joo as a candidate. Later, they join forces as matchmakers to marry off men and women who have crossed their primal age of marriage, according to the Joseon custom. As they are set to fight a battle for others, the two may eventually form a romantic connection in the series.
