Popular K-drama Twinkling Watermelon is all set to air a brand new episode on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 8.50 p.m. KST on tvN which will also be streamed on Viki. tvN released a preview of Twinkling Watermelon Episode 8 on October 17, 2023, and also released a teaser to hint what fans can expect. When dissected, it looks like Eun-gyeol decides to go back to the past to find his mother, discovering it was Cheong-ah all along. He even protects her from her stepmother, who has kept Cheong-ah shunned from the outside world.
The preview clip documents an emotional reunion of Eun-gyeol and Cheong-ah, his mother in the past, and teaches her sign language. Eun-gyeol is asked to tutor his mother by his maternal grandfather so that she can communicate with the world. In the preview clip, he asks Cheong-ah, “We’re gonna start tutoring today. Aren’t you curious what will we learn?”
Cheong-ah is confused by his friendly approach and questions it. When she doesn’t answer his question, Eun-gyeol is left emotional as he says, “A sign language. How to make sound from hands. I learned it from my mom when I was a kid.” Meanwhile, Cheong-ah, unaware that she’s his mother, begins to wonder why he’s crying.
