Strong Girl Nam-soon aired episodes 3 and 4 over the weekend, garnering significant attention for various reasons. The K-drama, starring Ong Seong-wu and Lee Yoo-mi, is a spin-off of the 2017 original Strong Woman Do Bong-soon. Since its premiere on October 7, 2023, fans have loved the lead couple’s scenes together.
Ong Seong-wu, who plays the role of Gang Hee-sik, is introduced to Lee Yoo-mi, essaying the role of Gang Nam-soon, when the latter travels to Korea from Mongolia in search of her birth parents. Episodes 3 and 4 see Hee-sik help Nam-soon find her parents and reunite the family. It also sees the birth of the budding romance between the lead couple, who join hands to investigate the dangerous drug cartel in Gangnam.

This week’s episodes of Strong Girl Nam-soon saw Nam-soon’s search for her parents finally come to an end with the help of detective Hee-sik. After he reunited her with her birth parents, Nam-soon asked him out for a meal and vowed to protect him as a way of expressing gratitude, which made his heart flutter. The duo also went undercover to disclose a dangerous drug company owned by Ryu Shi-oh (played by Byeon Woo-seok).
Throughout the course of the two episodes, the K-drama documented endearing chemistry between the lead couple. Be it having a meal together, driving a delivery truck, or just their conversations, fans swooned over the duo’s chemistry and took to social media to express the same.

This week’s episodes of Strong Girl Nam-soon provided equal dozes of fun and mystery. After Hwang Geum-joo (played by Kim Jung-eun), Nam-soon’s mother, saves her from the fire, the entire family is reunited. Nam-soon adapts to her birth parents, her sibling, and her grandmother Gil Joong-gan (played by Kim Hae-sook) while also missing her adoptive parents back in Mongolia.
Meanwhile, Nam-soon and Geum-joo thank Hee-sik for helping the family reunite after a long wait. Hee-sik is also busy investigating the drug cartel Doggo owned by Shi-oh, which has claimed another life. He decides to go undercover after discovering that the company is hiring delivery staff. When he tells Nam-soon that they are also looking for strong female delivery employees, she vows to help him.
The duo joins the company as undercover delivery agents and Nam-soon showcases her unbelievable strength, much to the surprise of fellow employees.
Episodes 5 and 6 of Strong Girl Nam-soon will air on October 21 and October 22, 2023 on JTBC and streaming on Netflix.
