A new poster of The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract has recently been released. The poster creatively teases the theme of the K-drama, showing the lead character time traveling from the Joseon era to the modern world.
The upcoming South Korean drama series promises to woo viewers with its romance storyline. Based on a Naver webtoon of the same name, the series is directed by Park Sang-hoon. The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract stars Lee Se-young as Park Yeon-woo and Bae In-hyuk as Kang Tae-ha. Reported to have 12 episodes, the series would center around Yeon-woo as she travels to 21st century Seoul from 19th century Joseon.

The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract Poster Explained
MBC released the poster of The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract on Monday, October 9. The pictures shows Park Yeon-woo (Lee Se-young) wearing a white and red hanbok (traditional Korean women’s attire) and standing on the threshold between two timelines.
While she is turned towards the 19th century Joseon period, the other side shows a modern world. Above her picture, the caption states, “I will go to the West side.” Through the poster, viewers can get an idea of the series’ plot, which involves time travel.
The story of the upcoming K-drama series is about Yeon-woo, the daughter of the Minister of Interior, in 19th century Joseon. On her wedding night, she discovers her husband’s health secret just before he dies. To make matters worse, a man kidnaps Yeon-woo and throws her into a well.
When she wakes up, she sees her husband but soon finds out it’s not him. Yeon-woo is now in Seoul, South Korea, in the year 2023. Interestingly, the man, Kang Tae-ha, who saves her from drowning, looks like her husband from the 19th century. The plot will get interesting when Tae-ha and Yeon-woo enter into a contract marriage.

Release Date, Cast, and More About the New Korean Drama
The concept of contract marriage is a familiar storyline in the K-drama world. One of the recent popular K-series with a similar theme was Business Proposal. However, the upcoming series is the combination of contract relationships and time travel scenarios, making The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract a highly anticipated series.
Although the release date has not been announced yet, the latest teaser poster reveals that the first broadcast will be held in November 2023. New episodes will be aired on Friday and Saturday every week on MBC.
Aside from Lee Se-young and Bae In-hyuk, the cast of The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract include Yoo Sun-ho as Kang Tae-min, Oh Yu-jin as Hong Na-rae, Jin Kyung as Min Hye-suk, Joo Hyun-young as Sawol, Jo Bok-rae as Hong Seong-pyo, Son So-mang as Kang Hae-ryeong, and Noh Jong-hyun as Lee Seok-ju, among others.
