A new teaser trailer of My Dearest Part 2 has left fans excited after the first installment’s ending left them disappointed. Starring Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun-jin, the emotional romance drama will premiere on October 13, 2023, on MBC.
The clip teases a much-awaited reunion between the star-crossed lovers, Lee Jang-hyun and Yoo Gil-chae. After the heartbreaking separation in the first part, their fate will make them cross paths again, but their reunion may not be that easy.
Directed by Kim Sung Yong and Lee Han Joon, the historical South Korean drama series is all set to take viewers on an emotional rollercoaster ride.

My Dearest Part 2 teaser shows the star-crossed lovers sharing a melancholic moment
In My Dearest Part 2, Namgoong Min returns as Lee Jang-hyun, who never wants to get married. Meanwhile, Ahn Eun-jin will reprise her role as Yoo Gil-chae, a socialite from a noble family who is desperate to find love despite two failed marriages.
The two fall in deep love in Part 1, and after a lot of hardships, they remain determined to stay together. Moreover, Jang-hyun and Gil-chae were even ready to run away, but the latter turned back on the opportunity for her ailing father.
In the newly released teaser of My Dearest Part 2, Jang-hyun is seen longing for Gil-chae. The clip begins with Namgoong Min’s character drinking all by himself in a garden at night. He ruefully looks up at the full moon and expresses his sadness.
The teaser further shows Jang-hyun heading inside and looking at a closed door next to him. Surprisingly, the person on the other side of that door turns out to be Gil-chae, who is about to open the door but stops after hearing Jang-hyun’s voice. He sits down, leans on the door, and says, “It’s strange. On days like this, when the moon is so bright, I am always with you.”
He continues to remember the time he spent with Gil-chae without realizing that she is also sitting down, leaning to the other side of the door and listening to him. Jang-hyun adds, “I’m not sure at what point things started to go wrong.” Hearing this, Gil-chae starts tearing up, but then Jang-hyun adds, “Was it wrong to leave you and go to Namhansanseong at that time, or was it wrong to leave you and come to Shimyang?”
Although the teaser shows their reunion, the two don’t come face-to-face in the clip. Set in the Joseon dynasty, the love story had a sad ending in the first part, leaving fans disappointed. However, the release of the recent teaser of Part 2 makes one wonder if the star-crossed lovers will even have a happy ending.
