Moving is a fun webtoon that was later adapted into a K-drama. The main jist of the webtoon beautifully blends action, fantasy, and emotional drama. Author and artist Kang Full is the creator behind this masterpiece.
The storyline of the webtoon revolves around three teenagers with special powers. Their parents work as secret agents while trying to protect their kids. The lead character, Kim Bong-Seok, has a special ability to float. Because of that, he keeps himself aloof from everyone until he meets Jang Hee-Soo, his classmate. She has a special ability of super strength and has a secret past from her previous school. Apart from them, they find Lee Kang-Hoon to be another teenager with special power.
As Bong-Seok and Hee-Soo discover each other’s abilities, they come to a deal to maintain their secrets while helping each other out. In the webtoon Moving, a bond grows stronger between Bong-Seok and Hee-Soo as the young man learns how to control his floating and become a master at it. While all of these are happening, they face back-to-back mysterious challenges. They start to look for people with similar special abilities to help them.
Moving webtoon: Is it a sad ending or a happy ending?
In the webtoon, the three teenagers with special powers and their parents are put in danger by some people who want to destroy them and use their powers for bad. Frank is the villain in the webtoon. As he looks for those special-ability children, Bong-Seok offers himself to him to protect his father, family, and friends.
He uses his power to make an explosion and kill Frank. However, in all this, Bong-Seok disappears along with everything, leaving his father and friends in despair. The webtoon ends with the sadness in everyone’s eyes for losing Bong-Seok.
However, Kang Full, who also wrote the K-drama’s screenplay, changed the ending slightly. In the drama, a flying hero in a yellow suit is reported saving people from fire. Hee-Soo figures out that it’s none other than Bong-Seok, leaving the audience hopeful that he might be alive.
On the other hand, what happens to Kim Doo-Shik? Does he get to reunite with his wife and son? Well, the webtoon shows this differently. It’s not as emotional as it is in the drama adaptation. While Lee Mi-Hyun and Kim Bong-Seok are talking on the rooftop, some footprints can be seen on the snow.
However, the webtoon did not show Doo-Shik killing the NIS director or, in that matter, Jun-Hwa murdering the North Korean general. Kang Full created a world where politics mixes with fantasy and superpowers while giving a new perspective to everything. The webtoon is quite popular, and the K-drama also garnered a lot of attention from the viewers.
