When will Stree 2 trailer be released?
Following the success of the first installment, Stree 2 is gearing up for an exciting release on August 15, coinciding with Independence Day. Recently, the production house Maddock Films took to their social media handle to share three posters of Stree 2 and announced a trailer release date.

Fans and viewers of the Stree franchise can catch the sequel’s trailer on July 18, 2024. Although the production house did not specify the release time, fans can anticipate its launch around 6 p.m. IST.
The first glimpse of Stree 2 reveals that the villagers of Chanderi have begun worshipping Stree (the spirit) and seeking her protection. Meanwhile, an unknown supernatural force returns to the village, seeking revenge. This sets the stage for an epic clash between two spirits, promising a unique blend of horror, comedy, and drama. This intriguing setup is also highlighted by three newly released posters featuring Shraddha Kapoor as Stree, preparing for battle.
Interestingly, Rajkummar Rao is set to reprise his role in this highly awaited sequel. There’s also buzz that Akshay Kumar might make a cameo appearance. However, the film’s release will go head-to-head with John Abraham’s Vedaa and Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein.
Stree 2 new posters tease plot details
In the first film, Shraddha Kapoor’s character was shrouded in mystery. However, in the second installment, the makers will delve deeper into her character, revealing her supernatural abilities. At the end of the first installment, the unnamed woman asked Vicky to cut off Stree’s braid, stripping her of her powers. Subsequently, the woman attached Stree’s cut braid to her hair, enhancing her powers. This further indicates that the unnamed woman possessed her own supernatural powers.
The lead actress, Shraddha Kapoor, also shared new posters a few hours ago on her official social media account. In the first poster, the unnamed woman holds her braid, which glows with supernatural power. In front of her, a mysterious black figure appears.
The second poster shows a confrontation between Shraddha Kapoor’s character and the mysterious figure, highlighting the intense battle that is about to unfold. However, the final poster drops significant hints about the plot. The unknown woman is again shown holding her glowing braid in her left hand and swinging it. In front of her, the mysterious figure is seen holding a beheaded head in his right hand. This suggests that in the upcoming installment, Stree will protect the people of Chanderi from this new beheaded spirit.
Fans have also speculated about the same from the Stree 2 teaser, where Rudra (Pankaj Tripathi) is seen reading scriptures related to the beheaded ghost.
