The much-awaited romantic comedy-drama Bad Newz, starring Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri, will make its theatrical debut soon. The production team recently announced the release date of Bad Newz on their social media handles, building excitement among fans.
Directed by Anand Tiwari, this movie was initially announced under the title Mehboob Mere Mere Sanam in March, but later, it was rebranded as Bad Newz. Furthermore, this film marks the first collaboration between Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk.
While specific details about the film’s plot remain under wraps, an OTTplay report has hinted at the plot. Reportedly, the film revolves around a heteropaternal superfecundation, a rare medical condition where a woman conceives twins from different fathers. Quoting a source, the report further mentions that Bad Newz is inspired by a real-life event. However, an official confirmation regarding this is still pending.
When will Vicky Kaushal’s Bad Newz be released?
Recently, Dharma Productions made a significant announcement on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the release of Bad Newz. The post reads, “Meet the troublemakers bringing #BadNewz this season! Akhil Chadha… sab toh vadda. Saloni, who is ready to take the test!? Gurbir paaji – rola pai gaya ji! TRAILER OUT THIS FRIDAY! In cinemas on 19th July.” Thus, it is official that the film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 19, 2024, with the trailer set to release on Friday, June 28.
Aside from this, Good Newwz, another film from Dharma Productions, directed by Raj Mehta, follows the storyline of an accidental sperm swap. The film was a commercial success, earning around $38 million at the box office.
In addition to her role in Bad Newz, Triptii Dimri was recently featured in Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor. On the other hand, Vicky Kaushal’s recent appearance was in Sam Bahadur. Additionally, he is also gearing up for his upcoming film, Chhaava.
