Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency release date: When is it coming out?
It has been years since Kangana Ranaut revealed that she would step into the shoes of India’s first and only woman Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, for Emergency. Along with the movie, the actress dropped her first look as the former PM. While fans were excited to watch her play the role, she recently announced the movie’s final release date is September 6, 2024.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Kangana dropped a new poster for Emergency. She looks unrecognizable and much like the late Indira Gandhi. Sharing the poster, she wrote, “The Beginning of the 50th Year of Independent India’s Darkest Chapter, Announcing #KanganaRanaut’s #Emergency In Cinemas on 6th September 2024. The Explosive Saga of The Most Controversial Episode of The History of Indian Democracy, #EmergencyOn6Sept in cinemas worldwide.”
As per the Times of India, Kangana Ranaut said, “I am deeply inspired by William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, essence of Emergency is the destruction wrought when ambition goes unchecked by moral constraints, it is undoubtedly the most sensational chapter of Indian democracy and I am eagerly awaiting its worldwide release on 6th September 2024.”
Besides playing the lead, Kangana is also the writer, director, and producer of the movie. It has a massive star cast, including Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, and others.
