TVF’s Panchayat has undoubtedly become one of the most loved Indian web series. The third season was recently released and thoroughly entertained the audience.
Amid the massive buzz around the new season, the show has come out to be a huge success. While everybody is talking about Phulera Gram Panchayat, Uttar Pradesh, featured in the web series. However, it was not shot in the state. Instead, the show was filmed over 700 km away from Phulera.
Where was Amazon Prime Video’s Panchayat season 3 shot?
While it might come as a shock to viewers, Panchayat Season 3‘s real location is in Madhya Pradesh. MP Tourism’s social media handle recently shared an awareness post asking the viewers if they were aware of the location. They then revealed that the web series was actually filmed at Mahodiya Village, Sehore, Madhya Pradesh.
The web series was shot in the village, and the name of its panchayat office was seemingly changed. Scenes featuring each character’s house were also shot in the same village. However, the few city clips from the first episode were filmed in Bhopal, MP.
For the uninitiated, Panchayat follows the story of Abhishek Tripathi, an engineering graduate who is posted in Phulera as the Panchayat secretary. Due to his low-paying government job, he prepares for the CAT, the MBA entrance exam. However, he soon finds himself enjoying rural life and becomes friends with Prahlad, Vikas, and Pradhan Ji. The light-hearted show then focuses on several issues that occur in the village.
In Panchayat Season 3, the story revolves around the upcoming Panchayat elections. Besides Jitendra Kumar, it also stars Raghubir Yadav, Chandan Roy, Faisal Malik, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Jha, Sanvikaa, Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar, and more.
