What is Mammootty’s Turbo about?
Soon after the makers released the trailer of Mammootty’s Turbo, the buzz around it grew to manifolds. The trailer introduced a jeep driver, Turbo Jose, who often falls in difficult situations. It also showed the movie’s lead antagonist, Raj B Shetty’s Vetrivel Shanmugha Sundaram. Moreover, the clip also gave a sneak peek into the massive action sequences the movie will have. Drama and comedy will also go hand in hand with the thrilling action in the film. It allegedly follows how Jose has to move to Chennai, and his life changes immediately.
As Mammootty is widely promoting the movie, he has also been spilling details about it. As per OTTplay, he recently attended a conference to talk about the film and his character. During the event, he revealed that Jose is not a don or a gangster but a regular Jeep driver. “The movie’s main plot revolves around how he would fare against opponents who are three times stronger than himself.”
The actor added that it is not the first time he has played an Indian Christian character. He said, “I have created numerous characters with a Christian background and set in rural, hilly areas; nonetheless, each character is unique in their own manner.” While Jose seems clean, he is not humorous. “He does not have much time for comical moments because he gets into enough trouble and is trying to survive as well as protect his loved ones amidst all these problems.”
Vysakh also said, “Mammootty has played a lot of characters that are slightly similar to Jose in Turbo, but the scriptwriter, Midhun Manuel Thomas, and I thought of a way he could play a role that would appeal to the current audience.”
Turbo’s reviews will come once the movie is in theaters.
