Ghilli rerelease box office collection explored
Despite being rereleased after 20 years, Ghilli has set a remarkable milestone, becoming the highest-grossing re-release film in India. The film opened strongly at the box office and initially grossed around $838 thousand. Later, the film surpassed $1.1 million in worldwide box office collections.
According to reports from Sacnilk, Ghilli grossed an impressive $2.3 million in India within just nine days of its re-release. This domestic gross collection surpassed the earnings of James Cameron’s Avatar 3D, which had earned around $2.1 million in 2012. Furthermore, Vijay’s film also recorded the third biggest opening in 2024 in Tamil Nadu regions. However, it is important to note that these figures may vary from producer figures.
