Akshay Kumar’s highly anticipated movie Jolly LLB 3 has been making headlines since the makers announced that the production for the film has commenced. However, the latest report claims that the film is currently in legal trouble due to its judiciary depiction.
Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 3 faces a legal complaint
The excitement sparked by the recent announcement that Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi will kickstart the filming for Jolly LLB 3 seems to have hit a roadblock. According to a report by NBT, the Ajmer District Bar Association President, Chandrabhan, has lodged a formal complaint against the film’s makers. He alleges the film’s portrayal of the judiciary system is disrespectful.
The complaint, directed at the primary people involved, argues that the film presents lawyers and judges in an “inappropriate” and “humorous” light. He criticized scenes depicting violence against lawyers, judges consuming ‘gutkha,’ and illicit money transactions. He argued that such representations do not align with reality and tarnish the image of the judiciary.
Speaking to NBT, Chandrabhan emphasized the need to uphold the integrity of the judiciary. In addition, he cited instances from the previous Jolly LLB films where he believes the showcase of legal proceedings lacked seriousness and respect.
He further exclaimed, “It seems that the filmmakers, directors, and actors do not respect the dignity and prestige of the judiciary and the country’s Constitution. The shooting of Jolly LLB 3 is going on in the surrounding villages and areas including the DRM office of Ajmer, which will continue for several days. Even during the shooting of this film, the actors of the film do not seem to be at all serious about the image, prestige, and dignity of the judiciary including the judges.”
Chandrabhan’s plea seeks to halt the ongoing shooting of Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 3. All in all, as the courtroom drama unfolds both on and off the screen, the fate of Jolly LLB 3 hangs in the balance.
