A huge buzz surrounds Kalki 2898 AD since its makers unveiled its new poster and a new release date. Initially, the movie was slated to hit theaters on May 9, but later, it shifted to June 27, 2024. To further spark excitement, makers are gradually unveiling new characters and their respective roles. Amidst this, recent reports unveiled the complete cast along in Kalki 2898 AD.
Following the release of the latest poster featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan, fans compared the film with the Hollywood movie Dune. Moreover, they found similarities between Zendaya and Deepika Padukone’s characters. However, director Nag Ashwin dismissed these comparisons, stating, “Yeah! (Laughed) That is because you see sand. Wherever you see sand, it looks like Dune.”
For those unaware, Nag Ashwin directed the film and produced it under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies. Made with a budget of around $72 million, Kalki 2898 AD marks the most expensive film to date. Reportedly, the story spans from the period of the Mahabharata in 3101 BCE to the distant year 2898 AD.
