Prasanth Varma‘s big break came with the recently released fantasy superhero film HanuMan. The filmmaker is now focusing on the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), which will include several superhero films based on Indian mythology. While HanuMan was a massive hit, all eyes are now on its sequel, Jai Hanuman.
Earlier, Varma confirmed that the first phase of his cinematic universe will include six films. While HanuMan marked its inception, Jai Hanuman will be the second one. The director recently confirmed that more movies will come out soon and that he is working on them collectively.
Prasanth Varma shares his plans for Jai Hanuman
During a recent event, Prasanth Varma disclosed some details about Jai Hanuman. As per Aakashvaani, the director revealed that he is simultaneously working on four films in the PVCU. He has brought in several stars from Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi cinema, to be a part of the upcoming projects.
Moreover, multiple directors will work on the upcoming movies. For the unversed, several names have made rounds for the movie’s cast. These include Yash, Chiranjeevi, and Mahesh Babu. However, no official announcement about them joining the cast has been made yet.
Also, Prasanth Varma has been cautious about filmmaking. While HanuMan received a lot of love from the audience, a section of viewers had some negative feedback. The filmmaker ensured that he had been reading every negative comment about the movie and taking them into account.
On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, Prasanth Varma unveiled a new poster of Jai Hanuman. The poster teased that the upcoming film will feature epic battles and fire-breathing dragons. The director also revealed that it will be released in IMAX 3D and provide a unique cinematic experience to the viewers.
Jai Hanuman is touted to be out by next year.
