Director Prasanth Varma recently broke records with his film HanuMan. The Teja Sajja starrer became a blockbuster soon after its release in January. It also became a massive success after its OTT debut. Following the run of HanuMan, the director began making headlines for his next project. The latest report claims that he might join hands with Bollywood star Ranveer Singh.
Ranveer Singh in talks to join hands with Prasanth Varma
According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, Ranveer Singh has shown his interest in working with Varma. Moreover, the actor-director duo are also in talks for a big-budget movie. Talking about the genre of the film, the report said that it will be a period drama set against the backdrop of Indian mythology. The source said, “Ranveer Singh is a big fan of Prasanth Varma’s work and met him right after the release of Hanuman. When he saw Hanuman, he went gaga over it. The director has been in talks with the actor for a big-budget film for the last three months.”
The source added that Ranveer has already given the collaboration a nod. “They have met multiple times and continue to be in discussions. Ranveer is sold on the idea and acknowledges it’s a very ambitious project. It’s a yes from Ranveer for the film in principle, and the team is now figuring out other modalities to get things started.”
If the reports are to be believed, we await an official confirmation from either Ranveer Singh or Prasanth Varma.
On the work front, Ranveer Singh has several projects in his kitty. He will be seen reprising the role of Simmba in Singham Again. His other projects are Don 3 and Shaktimaan. Apart from these, the actor’s name was also making rounds for a critical role in Rajinikanth’s Thalaivar 171. However, an official announcement regarding his Tamil debut has yet to be made.
