The upcoming movie Rathnam is one of the highly anticipated Tamil releases of April 2024. As the film nears its theatrical debut, fans excitedly await details about its OTT prospects. According to new reports, the OTT partner of the Vishal starrer has been finalized. Here are all the details about Rantham’s OTT platform and release date.
Rathnam marks Vishal’s 34th film. Helmed by Hari, the movie went on floors last year. It was shot at different locations, including Tichry, Chennai, Vellore, Thoothukudi, and Tirupati, before being wrapped by late January 2024. The movie’s post-production process also went on for a long time.
Apart from Vishal playing the titular role, the movie also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Ramachandra Raju, Samuthirakani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Yogi Babu, and others.
Vishal’s Rathnam to stream on Amazon Prime Video post theatrical release?
According to the latest report by 123telugu.com, Amazon Prime Video has acquired Rathnam’s digital rights. Moreover, ZEE TV has allegedly acquired the movie’s satellite rights. However, an official announcement has yet to be made.
After a long wait, the makers of Rathnam recently unveiled its official trailer. The one-minute 38 seconds long clip begins with massive action sequences. Vishal, as Rathnam, could be seen defending the woman who is his “life and breath.” To do so, he fights with several goons with a sickle and cuts them. Check out the movie’s trailer here:
However, the trailer did not reveal many details about the story. Devi Sree Prasad has served as the movie’s music director, and his work has been lauded since the trailer’s release. Many are also impressed by the emotions and action showcased in the clip.
Rathnam will be released in Tamil and Telugu on April 26, 2024.
