Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s latest movie, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, was recently released in theaters to much hype. However, the box office collection so far frames a different picture. In terms of box office, despite the rollercoaster ride of ups and downs, the film has managed to maintain a steady earning.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan collection day 4: Akshay Kumar’s movie records consistent dips
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie raked in a commendable $107K on day 4. Overall, this marks an achievement and brings its cumulative domestic total to an impressive $4.8 million. Although the figures haven’t yet breached the double-digit mark, the film’s Sunday collection is the second-highest single-day earnings, trailing closely behind its debut.
The debut of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan began on a promising note, with an opening of $1.87 million net in India across various languages. In detail, Hindi alone contributed $1.85 million to the impressive total. However, the box office journey encountered a bump on the second day.
It witnessed a 51 percent drop in box office figures, with Friday’s earnings plummeting to $91K, followed by a slight weekend surge, with Saturday accumulating $101K. In addition, Sunday picked up to $108K, and the collections have predominately lingered within the single-digit range.
However, in the box office battle, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan seems to have edged past its competitor Maidaan, featuring Ajay Devgn. The film has only amassed $2.6 million within four days of its release.
The action-packed storyline, which revolves around two Indian army officers played by Akshay and Tiger, can attribute its success to the film. Prithviraj Sukumaran plays India’s most dangerous villain, whom they are on a mission to combat. The cast also includes Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chillar, and Alaya F.
