Ajay Devgn’s new sports drama film Maidaan continues its steady performance at the box office despite a slow start. Directed by Amit R Sharma, it is based on Syed Abdul Rahim’s life and features Gajraj Rao and Priyamani. The film has garnered positive responses from audiences since it started its paid previews on April 10, 2024. However, on the day of its actual release, April 11, it failed to earn huge numbers at the box office. Over the weekend, the film gained back its momentum. Due to its positive reviews, Maidaan has been currently topping the box office.
Maidaan box office collection day 4: How much did the film earn?
As per the latest report on Sacnilk.com, Maidaan has collected over $ 7 hundred thousand at the Indian box office on its fourth day. The film’s box office figures show a consistent trend with a gradual collection increase. On Day 1, Maidaan collected approximately $5,39,387. The following day saw a slight dip, with earnings of around $3,29,625. Day 3 was fairly better, with a total collection of $6,89,216. However, on day 4, the film managed to mark its highest single-day collection so far. With this latest figure, Maidaan has now accumulated approximately $2.6 million at the Indian box office.
Despite its steady performance, Maidaan has not yet reached double-digit figures in daily collections. The film’s occupancy rate is around 22.87% for its fourth day, the first Sunday.
Maidaan also faces competition from Akshay Kumar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Ajay Devgn’s portrayal of the lead character has been highly praised for its depth and authenticity. Reviewers have highlighted his understated yet powerful performance, which adds gravitas to the film.
As Maidaan progresses in its theatrical run, it remains to be seen how it will fare against ongoing competition and whether it will maintain its steady performance in the coming days.
