If the reports are to be believed, the movie would mark Ranveer’s debut project in the Tamil film industry. Bollywood stars entering the South film industry has recently become a trend. So far, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, and others have already ventured into the South cinema.

As per Indian Express, during an event of ‘Inimel,’ Lokesh Kanagaraj addressed questions about Thalaivar 171. The director revealed that the work on the movie is currently in process, and the movie will go on the floors soon. He said, “The pre-production work is on. The film will go on floors in June. The entire process will take around one and a half years.” He also serves as the movie’s writer. As per the director’s statement, the movie is anticipated to be out by the end of 2025 or the beginning of 2026.
