After a long time, Prabhas will be seen in a local setting in the upcoming movie The Raja Saab. Touted to be a horror romance comedy, Shankar helmed the film. So far, the movie’s poster has confirmed that the lead actor is starring in a comic role. While fans eagerly await more updates on the movie, its makers are keeping hush-hush. However, the latest buzz in the film circles has teased that the movie’s plot allegedly includes Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt.
Sanjay Dutt’s name is being attached to many Telugu movies. While the actor last portrayed a small but crucial role in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, he seemingly has many movies in the pipeline. The actor’s name is also associated with Ram Charan’s new movie RC 16 with Buchi Babu Sana. Moreover, the actor is also expected to cameo in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule. Sanjay Dutt’s role confirmed in The Raja Saab?
According to a report by 123telugu.com, Sanjay Dutt will play a pivotal role in Prabhas’ The Raja Saab. The report claimed that the Munna Bhai actor will play the role of the Baahubali star’s grandfather in the movie. His character will meet an untimely demise and return as a ghost. His presence in the lead’s life will allegedly shape the movie’s story. But this is so far a rumor, and no official announcement has been made yet.
A few months ago, director Maruthi debunked the plot details on IMDb’s website. The synopsis read, “It revolves around a couple who fall in love but are set to change destiny due to a negative energy.” The filmmaker revealed that the story mentioned above is fake via X (formerly Twitter). He wrote, “Ararare, I don’t know this plot. So, shooting with a different script. Ippudu IMDB Samajam accept chestada mari (Will IMDb accept me now?).”
While Sanjay Dutt’s role is not confirmed yet, Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agerwal are joining Prabhas in the movie. People Media Factory is bankrolling the project. More updates on the movie’s shoot and release date are awaited.
