Siddhu Jonnalagadda is back on the silver screens with his mischievous role as DJ Tillu in Tillu Square. The movie is the official sequel to the 2022 romance crime comedy. As the 2022 movie came out to be a blockbuster, Part 2 continues the adventures of Tillu and how he again finds himself in trouble. However, it will not be very long as he has his way out. The movie has opened up to mostly positive reviews, with the audience praising the actor-writer’s work.
Besides the laughter, Tillu Square’s plot is filled with twists and turns. The movie’s story takes off from where its previous film, DJ Tillu, ended. Tillu has become the owner of Tillu Events, a company that arranges DJs for parties with the help of Shannon’s money. As his life is back on track, his choice of romance again creates a lot of trouble. At this point, he meets a beautiful woman named Lilly.
Who is Lilly?
Played by Anupama Parameswaran, Lilly blows Tillu’s mind away in their first meeting. They spend the night together, but the next morning, Lilly disappears. Tillu does not leave any stone unturned in finding Lilly, and after a few months, they meet at a hospital.
Lilly reveals that she is pregnant with Tillu’s child and convinces him to marry her. On his birthday, Lilly takes Tillu to the same apartment where his ex-girlfriend Radhika took him. The first twist in Tillu Square begins when Lilly tells the DJ how he is investigating her brother Rohit’s murder.
During the investigation, Shannon kidnaps Tillu, but not for very long. Lilly rescues him and reveals her true identity. She is an Indian Special Forces agent who is assigned to kill Sheikh Mehboob. The only reason why she went after Tillu was because he was invited to DJ at Mehboob’s party. She further informs Tillu about an informant in her team who has been leaking crucial details to Mehboob. Tillu Square takes another turn when Lilly blackmails Tillu to murder Mehboob at his party.
Despite all the drama going on in the story, the movie also has some romantic sequences. Lilly reveals how she had genuine feelings for Tillu. However, things go way out of hand later.
Tillu Square ending explained: Is Tillu dead?
A terrified Tillu tries to leave the city with his family on the day of Mehboob’s party. However, his plan fails when Lilly stops him to show a kidnapped Radhika. She further threatens them, but Radhika convinces Tillu to cooperate with Lilly. As a result, Tillu tries to poison Mehboob with sweets, but things do not go as planned. On the contrary, Mehboob, who is aware of the intoxicated sweets, kills Tillu.
Despite what seems like a murder, Tillu is not dead. He leaves Lilly surprised with his reappearance a few days later. Tillu explains how he escaped his death-like situation at Mehboob’s party. It turns out that Shannon poisoned Mehboob’s milk, and he drank it. In exchange for an antidote, Mehboob is forced to release Tillu and soon gets arrested by ISF agents.
In Tillu Square’s climax, the notorious DJ further exposes Lilly’s intentions. The informant in the special forces is none other than Lilly. She was trying to kill Mehboob to keep her malpractices safe, but it did not happen. While Lilly goes behind bars, Tillu bails Radhika out and ends his differences with her. Why did Tillu help Radhika? It was because she had fallen in love with him before she tricked him.
Tillu’s adventures will not end with the sequel, as the story will continue in a third part of the franchise, Tillu Cube. Siddhu Jonnalagadda will reprise his role, and his new adventures will soon begin.
