The iconic political entertainer Nayak is all set to receive a sequel nearly 23 years after its initial release. Shankar and Anil Kapoor’s collaboration in the 2001 film left a permanent mark on audiences. Nayak also earned its cult status and secured its place as one of the most-watched films on television.
According to exclusive sources by Pinkvilla, preparations are on the way for Nayak 2. The famous filmmaker Milan Luthria will be helming the project. Luthria is known for his directorial prowess. He has worked in commercial hits such as Once Upon A Time In Mumbai and The Dirty Picture. Moreover, Milan Luthria brings his seasoned expertise to the sequel, further promising an exhilarating cinematic experience.
Produced by Siddharth and Mamta Anand under Marflix Pictures, Nayak 2 will follow in the footsteps of its predecessor. It is expected to deliver high-octane action against the backdrop of politics.
Additionally, Rajat Arora, known for his gripping narratives, reunites with Luthria to pen the script. This further ensures a captivating storyline that seamlessly leads from the original film.

Recently, a source close to the project spoke about the development. “Nayak 2 will be a one-of-a-kind vigilante-based action entertainer packed with intense dialogue and drama. Casting for the film is currently underway, with a top A-Lister expected to join the ensemble cast,” said the source via Pinkvilla.
Siddharth Anand, the driving force behind Marflix Pictures, has already tasted success with his directorial debut Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor. Additionally, Anand’s production house is set for more success with their upcoming projects, such as Jewel Thief, starring Saif Ali Khan and Rambo featuring Tiger Shroff.
