Bollywood stars Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani are back in the news owing to their upcoming film Hero No. 1. Reports of the two stars reuniting for a project first made rounds last year. However, recently, it was rumored that the movie has been shelved. The film’s director himself confirmed that the film is on track and in the pre-production phase.
Jagan Shakti, who is known for Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan’s Mission Mangal, is the film’s director. Per previous reports, the makers were set to shoot a small portion of Hero No. 1 in September last year. However, no official announcement regarding the same was made.
Hero No. 1 director gives update on filming schedule
Now, according to the latest report by Times Of India, Jagan Shakti has confirmed that Hero No. 1 is in the making. In the interview, the director revealed that the Tiger Shroff starrer was set to go on floors in January. But, due to the actor’s previous commitments, that did not happen.
Shakti said, “The movie is definitely not shelved. We were supposed to go on floors in January. However, since Tiger had to dub and shoot for his upcoming movie, we could not begin. He also has some other commitments. We tried moving the dates, but it did not work out.” The director then confirmed that the movie’s production would begin in July. This is not the first time that Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani have teamed up. They were last seen in Baaghi 2.
On the work front, Tiger Shroff is gearing up for the release of his awaited film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The movie also stars Akshay Kumar and is being made on a hefty budget. Ali Abbas Zafar is directing, which will hit the theaters on April 10. Moreover, the actor recently unveiled the teaser of Baaghi 4.
