Noida Police apprehended Bigg Boss OTT Winner Elvish Yadav on Sunday for his alleged involvement in the Snake Venom-Rave Party case. Presently, the court has remanded him to 14 days of judicial custody.
For those unaware, the incident stems from an event held at a banquet hall in Noida’s Sector 51 on November 3, 2023, where Yadav allegedly provided snake venom. Rahul, Titunath, Jaikaran, Narayan, Ravinath, and Elvish are accused in the FIR lodged in Sector 49 police station.
Moreover, police collected the samples from the rave party and sent them to a forensic lab in Jaipur. Collected samples revealed the presence of venom from snakes such as Cobra and Krait. Furthermore, nine snakes and venom were recovered from the rave party. Additionally, during interrogation on November 9, 2023, Elvish claimed that Fazilpuria had arranged the snakes for the party.
Elvish Yadav sent to 14 days judicial custody?
All the accused are charged under various sections of the Wildlife Protection Act and for criminal conspiracy under section 120B of IPC, 1860. The case was initially registered at Sector 49 police station and later transferred to Sector 20 for further investigation.
On Sunday, Noida police summoned Elvish for questioning, but he allegedly failed to cooperate, leading to his arrest. DCP Noida Vidya Sagar Mishra said, “Noida Police arrests YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav. He will be presented in the Court today.” As mentioned earlier, presently Yadav has been sent to 14 days judicial custody.
The officer also claimed, “Elvish Yadav was called for questioning today in a case pertaining to the Wildlife Protection Act. It was found that he was hiding information during the interrogation.” He added, “Today he was called for interrogation and was produced before the court by enhancing the sections of the NDPS Act in the said case.”
Despite Elvish’s claim of not being present at the party, the unfolding events in the coming days will shed more light on the situation.
