After getting a high appraisal from the theatrical run, Mammootty’s Bramayugam is gearing up to make its OTT release in mid-March 2024. Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, the black-and-white cinema has stolen fans’ hearts with impressive direction, evident from the worldwide box office collection of $6.7 million. In addition, Bramayugam has also marked the primary collaboration between Mammootty and Rahul.
The horror flick featured Mammootty in the pivotal role, along with the inclusion of Arjun Ashokan and Sidharth Bharathan. Besides this, Amalda Liz has also played a cameo role in this monochromatic film. The game of dice is the climactic centric of this mysterious movie, where folk singer Thevan (Arjun) initiates this contest with the robust Kodumon Potti (Mammootty).
The dice game isn’t just about who will emerge as the victor but also about who will decide Thevan’s future. If the folk singer wins the competition, Potti will allow him to return home to his mother. However, if he fails to triumph, he has to commit his time to Kodumon as a mark of slavery.
Bramayugam mainly gained popularity due to its monochromatic theme and unique presentation, which eventually added an extra layer of horror element to the flick.

A few hours before, SonyLiv announced the arrival of Mammootty’s latest flick on March 15, 2024. This marks Bramayugam’s OTT release precisely a month after its theatrical run. Moreover, SonyLiv will release this Malayalam black-and-white cinema in different languages.
