According to a report by OTTplay, the streaming rights of The Greatest Of All Time have been bagged by Netflix. Furthermore, the report claimed that the OTT giant paid a hefty amount for this movie’s digital debut. It is allegedly the most hefty deal in the history of Tamil cinema.
Seemingly, the OTT giant is expanding its menu of regional cinema. It recently added several star-studded movies, including Guntur Kaaram, Hi Nanna, Salaar, and more, to its repertoire. Netflix is also home to Vijay’s several flicks, including Leo and Beast.
The Greatest Of All Time is touted to be one of Vijay’s last movies as the actor has announced his retirement. After launching his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, the actor mentioned that he would completely focus on politics. In his statement, he wrote, “Finally, politics is not just another career for me; it is a sacred people’s work. To know not only the height of politics but also its length and width, I have been preparing myself for it for a long time by studying lessons from many of us. So politics is not a hobby for me. That is my deepest desire. I want to fully involve myself in it.”
