Sundeep Kishan’s latest Telugu film, Ooru Peru Bhairavakona, hit the screens worldwide on February 16, 2024. While the movie is currently gracing the theaters, fans are speculating about its OTT release. Recent reports suggest that two popular OTT platforms have secured the digital streaming rights of the film.
Vi Anand’s directorial, Ooru Peru Bhairavakona, features Sundeep Kishan, Kavya Thapar, Varsha Bollamma, and Vennela Kishore in pivotal roles. This movie marks Sundeep Kishan’s comeback in the Telugu industry after his last appearance in the Tamil blockbuster Captain Miller. Before the release, the makers arranged a few paid premiere shows on February 14, 2024, from which they accumulated around $48K.
The film revolves around the protagonist, who, along with his friend, steals a bride’s jewelry. Soon after, they help an injured girl named Agraharam Geetha, who they find in a car that met with an accident. Suddenly, this trio reaches a mysterious village called Bhairavakona. The story explores the challenges faced by the trio while finding their way out from the world of Bhairavakona.
Ooru Peru Bhairavakona is coming in March 2024
Carrying high expectations, Ooru Peru Bhairavakona is continuing its box-office run. Adding an extra layer of excitement, a recent report claimed that the two popular OTT platforms, Zee5 and Aha Video, have secured digital streaming rights for a decent price. Additionally, the report also claimed that the movie will have its OTT debut in the third week of March. However, the makers are yet to announce the exact date of its digital release.
For those unaware, as per recent trends, a movie is usually released on OTT platforms 45 to 60 days after its theatrical run. Thus, the audience will have to wait to experience its digital release.
Apart from this, the movie opened with a net collection of $313K in India’s box office. In its first week, Ooru Peru Bhairavakona accumulated around $1.6 million. After 12 days at the box office, the movie’s India net collection is $1.8 million. It will be interesting to see how much Vi Anand’s masterpiece collects during its theatrical run.
