Yami Gautam‘s latest political thriller, Article 370, has already managed to garner over $3 million but is reportedly banned from releasing in the Gulf countries.
The movie, directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, also stars Priyamani and Kiran Karmarkar in prominent roles. The movie was produced by Aditya Dhar, Jyoti Deshpande, and Lokesh Dhar under B62 Studios. Article 370 marks the second collaboration between Aditya Dhar and Yami Gautam after the success of URI.

Why is Article 370 banned in Gulf countries?
Recent reports claim that Yami Gautam’s Article 370 has been banned in Gulf countries. However, no official explanation has been provided yet by the certification board. Earlier, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s Fighter made headlines for being banned in all Gulf nations except the UAE.
Since its release, the political thriller has been doing well at the domestic and overseas box office, garnering praise from audiences and critics. The ban in the Gulf is another hit to the Hindi film industry. It affects the movie’s international performance and keeps the audiences in the region from experiencing it.
The movie primarily explores the themes of identity, struggle, and resilience, along with the challenges individuals face during such turbulent times. The ban in Gulf countries is a surprise, as the region is a popular tourist spot for many and has been a go-to shoot location for many movies.
Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also acknowledged the Yami Gautam-starrer while addressing a gathering in Jammu. He said, “I have heard that a film on Article 370 is going to be released this week… It is a good thing as it will help people in getting correct information.”
