Article 370 kicked off its theatrical run with an impressive collection of $711K on Friday. The film witnessed a significant surge in revenue on Saturday, boasting an impressive 25 percent increase from its debut. On day 2, the Yami Gautam starrer amassed $892K.
The momentum carried through Sunday, and according to Sacnilk, the movie grossed an additional $1.1 million. So, with day 3 collection, Article 370 brought its total domestic earnings to a formidable $2.7 million.
This upward trajectory, despite mixed reviews, owes itself to strategic planning. Interestingly, the movie hit the theaters on the date announced as Cinema Lovers Day by PVR-INOX. Thus, cine-goers availed discounted ticket prices at $1.19 (Rs. 99). Additionally, PM Narendra Modi’s not-so-subtle endorsement during a rally in Jammu on February 20, 2024, further bolstered the film’s visibility.
