Article 370 Box Office Collection Day 3: Yami Gautam’s Movie Sees Steady Rise

Article 370 featuring Yami Gautam is dominating the box office charts with a steady performance. After a robust opening on February 23, 2024, the movie continues to command attention with its impressive earnings. With day 3 box-office collection, Article 370 has entered the $2 million range.

Article 370 box office collection day 3: Yami Gautam movie earns $1.1 million

Article 370 kicked off its theatrical run with an impressive collection of $711K on Friday. The film witnessed a significant surge in revenue on Saturday, boasting an impressive 25 percent increase from its debut. On day 2, the Yami Gautam starrer amassed $892K.

The momentum carried through Sunday, and according to Sacnilk, the movie grossed an additional $1.1 million. So, with day 3 collection, Article 370 brought its total domestic earnings to a formidable $2.7 million.

This upward trajectory, despite mixed reviews, owes itself to strategic planning. Interestingly, the movie hit the theaters on the date announced as Cinema Lovers Day by PVR-INOX. Thus, cine-goers availed discounted ticket prices at $1.19 (Rs. 99). Additionally, PM Narendra Modi’s not-so-subtle endorsement during a rally in Jammu on February 20, 2024, further bolstered the film’s visibility. Moreover, he asserted its utility in providing accurate information.

Furthermore, the film was released with two other films on the same day – Crakk, starring Vidyut Jammwal, and Varun Grover’s directorial debut, All India Rank. Article 370 managed to surpass the box-office earnings of Crakk. In addition, since All India Rank hasn’t been lauded as a massive Bollywood release, it is not considered for comparison.

Article 370 unfolds the gripping narrative of the Prime Minister’s decision to revoke the special status granted to Jammu and Kashmir. Yami Gautam takes on the role of an intelligence officer, navigating the intricate web of a region besieged by terrorism.

As the film is witnessing its first-week run, upcoming box-office numbers will decide if it enters the league of recent blockbuster releases.
