Why did Tapasya visit Kanpur?
Abhinav “Chintu” Kumar Tyagi is a regular middle-class resident of Kanpur and a government engineer at the Public Works Department (PWD). He leads a seemingly content life with his wife, Vedika Tripathi, a teacher from Lucknow. However, he struggles with familial pressure to start a family and Vedika’s desire to move to a larger city.
Feeling stifled and unfulfilled, Chintu finds solace in the company of Tapasya Singh. She is an aspiring fashion designer from Delhi who visits Kanpur to scout locations for her business. Despite being related to his boss, Tapasya’s presence ignites a spark in Chintu, prompting him to explore a different side of life. Chintu tells her a tale about Vedika having an affair with Rakesh Yadav, a student in love with her.
As Chintu immerses himself in secret outings with Tapasya, Vedika inadvertently stumbles upon them. However, she keeps her discovery to herself, listening silently as Chintu weaves a web of deceit.
