In episode 10 of Shark Tank India season 3, the robotics company VECROS introduced India’s first autonomous spatial AI drone to the Sharks. Besta Prem Sai and Rajeshree Rajesh Deotalu seek an investment of around $120K for 2.5 percent equity in the company.
For those who haven’t watched the episode, VECROS is a Delhi-based robotics company. The brand owners reportedly claim that they have made India’s first self-flying AI drone that works autonomously. VECROS has developed this technology to capture complex data from hazardous areas to prevent causalities. It is used to provide timely data collection in disaster relief conditions.
Moreover, it captures the data from construction sites, railway bridges, oil and gas, and utilities. These areas generally require manual labor to collect the data, which is time-consuming. However, with the help of this drone, it can be done in less time without endangering the person’s life. The company has a vision to transform the world through innovative, efficient, and safe autonomous flight.
Besta and Rajeshree have named this drone ATHERA. It has eight in-built cameras and a computer environment processor and works at 21 trillion operations per second. The drone has a 360-degree view and can dodge obstacles itself. Moreover, both pitchers are geared up to launch JASPER for confined spaces in the future.

Regarding VECROS services, Besta disclosed that they deal in two revenue models, enterprise and drone. With the enterprise model, one can buy drone models and everything available on the website. Moreover, if anyone wants to work as a drone service provider, VECROS will offer drones with a monthly subscription.
After a series of offers and counteroffers from Sharks and Pitchers, Besta further shared that the price would be around $18K without payload. In the end, Aman Gupta secured the deal with $24K for 1% Equity Plus $96K debt at 10 percent interest for three years.
