Sobhita Dhulipala is all set to make her Hollywood debut with her upcoming movie, Monkey Man. The action thriller marks Dev Patel’s feature directorial debut.
The film stars Dev Patel himself alongside Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sikandar Kher, Vipin Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar, Adithi Kalkunte and Makarand Deshpande. Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions will be producing the movie. It is scheduled for a theatrical release in the United States on April 5, 2024.

Monkey Man cast: Sobhita Dhulipala on her Hollywood debut
In a recent interview, Sobhita Dhulipala elaborated on her role in Monkey Man. She shared, “My character has got a very distinct texture that’s unlike anything I’ve seen. It left me feeling inspired and even more in love with cinema. The action, the music, the style and the raw emotion. It’s going to be a sensory feast.”
The actress even lauded co-star Dev Patel for his directorial debut. She said, “He truly has exceptional taste in all things cinema. That coupled with his enormous patience and passion to give his best in every department is pretty phenomenal.”
On January 26, 2024, Sobhita Dhulipala, along with the makers, shared the news of the movie along with a trailer on social media. She captioned the post, “An absolute joy to share the trailer of my debut Hollywood film #MonkeyMan. Releasing 5th April across theatres globally.”
Dhulipala also talked about her debut movie, Raman Raghav 2.0 (2016)’s nomination at the Cannes Film Festival. She said, “I draw motivation from my ability to submit to my instincts and being unafraid to be myself. I am entirely focused on telling exciting stories. Language and medium no bar.”
