Barun Sobti and Survinder Vicky’s riveting crime drama, Kohrra, offers an engaging murder mystery and sheds light on several societal issues.
Sudip Sharma created the series, and Randeep Jha directed it. It also stars Harleen Sethi, Saurav Khurana, Rachel Shelley, and Manish Chaudhary in lead roles. Karnesh Sharma produced the series under the banner of Clean Slate Films in collaboration with Netflix.
Kohrra revolves around two cops, Balbir and Garundi, who unravel the case of a dead groom while also dealing with the turbulence in their own lives. It premiered on July 15, 2023 on Netflix.

Kohrra Ending: Who kidnapped Balbir?
In Kohrra’s final episode, when Karan visits Nimrat at her house, Balbir physically assaults him to show dominance. However, he was later kidnapped by henchmen working for Karan’s grandfather. By the time Balbir was abducted, he had almost lost his daughter to suicide.
However, Garundi came to Balbir’s rescue after he found his empty, damaged jeep. Garundi instantly knew that Manna had something to do with Balbir’s disappearance, but Manna told him that abducting cops was not his style. Garundi then learned that Karan’s grandfather, Shamsher, was the culprit.
He traced Balbir to a farmhouse where Bawana had kept him. After a shootout with Bawana and his gang, Garundi managed to free Balbir. However, they found Shamsher waiting at the exit, so Balbir decided to have an honest conversation with him about their children.
Did Balbir find any evidence?
Balbir received a startling update from Dr. Johal, who found evidence proving that Liam and Paul were lovers, not friends. He then went to the Dhillon farmhouse and told Paul’s parents and Liam’s mother about their relationship. While Paul’s father, Steve, lost his temper, Clara told them that Paul had to hide his identity because of Steve’s volatile nature. She had known of their relationship all along, but Paul had made her promise not to tell anyone.
Nimrat was discharged from the hospital. Surprisingly enough, Balbir called Karan over to the hospital and gave them his blessing. Towards the end of Kohrra, Balbir handed over Liam’s remains to his mother, Clara. She then told him that on the night of the murder, she had received a call from Liam that went directly to her voicemail. So Balbir decided to visit the murder site and reconstruct everything based on Liam’s voicemail.
How did Paul die?
That night, after Liam and Paul argue with Saakar at the bar, Paul goes to see Veera. She told him everything about her ex, and he then dropped her off at her house. As he was leaving, he got a call from Liam asking about his whereabouts. The two then saw each other in the fields, where Liam was disappointed that Paul was still not ready to come out.
The two got into a physical altercation, during which Liam pushed Paul away and slashed his throat. When he realized what he had done, he called his mother to confess as Paul was bleeding to death. He walked across the field and was hit by Shinda’s truck.
The ending credits of Kohrra featured Garundi getting married and moving on with his life. Balbir and Indira also found a way to mend their relationship.
