Babil Khan‘s coming-of-age comedy, Friday Night Plan, is all about vibrant teen energy, sneaky parties and relatable characters.
Vatsal Neelakantan wrote and directed, while Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani produced the movie under Excel Entertainment, along with Kasim Jagmagia. Friday Night Plan also stars Juhi Chawla, Amrith Jayan, Aadhya Anand, Ninad Kamat, Ria Chaudhary, Aditya Jain, and Medha Rana.
Friday Night Plan revolves around two teenage brothers who plan to attend the hottest party of the year while their mother is on a work trip. The movie pays tribute to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986), Project X (2012), and Superbad (2007). It was released directly on Netflix, for streaming on September 1, 2023.

Friday Night Plan Ending: Did Sid and Adi fix their problems?
In Friday Night Plan, Sid was having the time of his life after he was welcomed to the party with open arms. He was playing party games and dancing with his crush. Later, when Sid went up to talk to Nitya, she explained how Adi had no ill intentions towards him. She told him she had overheard their argument earlier. Sid then realized that he might have been too harsh on Adi, so they made up by singing and dancing to a song they had composed.
However, Sid was unaware that Adi had called their mother as well. He was feeling guilty after he argued with Sid and wondered if he really was a disappointment to their mother, so he called her for comfort. After receiving calls from both her sons, Mrs. Menon knew that something was up. After her meeting ended, she decided to return home.
Did Sid and Adi get their car back?
Before Sid got to know the truth, he spent some time alone with Natasha and told her how well he related to the poetry she had written for English class. However, Natasha revealed that it was her sister, Nitya, who had composed it. Sid then realized that he barely knew Natasha, and wasn’t really in love. Although Natasha did show interest in him, Sid made it clear that he did not want to pursue a relationship with her as there was no potential.
After his conversation with Natasha, Sid apologized to Adi. Adi then confessed that their mother was on her way back home. So the brothers planned to somehow convince the police officer to let them take their car home. After reaching the police station, Sid begged the sub-inspector, Suhas Pingale, to forgive them, and was also ready to offer him money when Adi came to his rescue.
He realized that the sub-inspector would be offended if he was offered money, so he interrupted Sid and confessed that he was the one who had thrown the egg at him. After receiving their apology and appreciation, Suhas let them leave the station with their car.
Did the Menon brothers confess to their mother?
During Friday Night Plan’s ending, the brothers drove back home and sorted everything out before their mother’s arrival. As soon as their mother entered the house, she asked them about the phone calls and the two decided to tell her the truth.
The iconic Friday night changed the dynamics between Adi and Sid. The two brothers became closer than ever and Sid realized that he connected more with Natasha’s sister, Nitya. By the end, Sid was the famous kid in school who had a prom date as well as newfound confidence to apply for colleges.
