Teja Sajja’s superhero film, HanuMan, has emerged as a sensational blockbuster of 2024. While the movie is running in theaters, the director Prasanth Varma is gearing up to release a 3D version in theaters.
The movie was theatrically released on January 12, 2024, in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Despite having a slow start on its opening day, the film has emerged as the all-time biggest Sankranti grosser.
HanuMan started its box office run with a collection of $499.1K (approx.). Meanwhile, On Day 2, the film saw a quadruple growth in earnings compared to its first-day collection. As of now, the film has gathered around $21.5 million in India’s net collection, till its Day 20. Moreover, the worldwide collection stands at around $31.5 million.
HanuMan 3D release in summer 2024
HanuMan has developed a special place in the viewers’ hearts with its impressive VFX and action-packed scenes. To add an extra layer of excitement, director Prasanth Varma, in his recent interview, stated that he and his crew are working on something unique for HanuMan.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that the 3D version of the film was tested at Prasads theater in Hyderabad. Additionally, it claims that the director is working on a 3D version and striving to release it by summer. However, the audience still has to wait for the official confirmation from the makers.
For those unaware, the movie revolves around the story of a young man, Hanumanthu, who resides in Anjanadri (an imaginary place) along with his elder sister. The story takes a surprising turn when Hanumanthu discovers a gem filled with Lord Hanuman’s blood, and it becomes the source of phenomenal abilities inside Hanumanthu’s body. Moreover, the post-credit scene of the film confirms its second sequel, titled Jai Hanuman.
Aside from this, the latest reports circulated stating that the film is set to make its digital debut on Zee5 by March 2, 2024. However, it is essential to note that it is only a tentative OTT release date. The official announcement for the digital debut is still awaited. In the meantime, it will be intriguing to see when the 3D version of the film will hit the theaters.
