Over the past few hours, icon star Allu Arjun has become the talk of the town after a leaked photo from the set of Pushpa 2 circulated on the internet. For those unaware, after the remarkable success of Pushpa’s first installment, makers are gearing up for its next sequel titled Pushpa 2: The Rule. Also, it is scheduled to hit theaters on August 15, 2024, coinciding with Independence Day.
Penned and directed by Sukumar and produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, the film features Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. Furthermore, with a budget of $60 million, the film will be released in multiple languages.
The film franchise’s first installment shattered several records and accumulated around $42.1 million at the worldwide box office. Besides this, the film has garnered a collection of $32 million in India’s net collection.
Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 look revealed
The filmmakers are actively wrapping up the movie shoot and also striving to minimize the leaks from the set of Pushpa 2. Unluckily, they witnessed the leakage of a picture featuring Allu Arjun’s look in the upcoming sequel. The Icon star is seen dressed in a saree.
Aside from this, the makers have confirmed the release date and created a buzz among the audience through account X ( formerly Twitter). On January 29, Sukumar Writings wrote, “200 DAYS for Pushpa Raj to begin his RULE. Pushpa2TheRule Grand Release Worldwide on 15th AUG 2024”.
Overall, it will be interesting to witness whether Pushpa 2 again breaks records and conquers the box office.
