Nitesh Tiwari’s much-anticipated project, Ramayana, continues to make waves with its stellar cast. While Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up to portray the iconic role of Lord Ram, the ensemble also included Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana.
The latest buzz suggests that Sunny Deol and Vijay Sethupathi are set to join the illustrious cast, adding more star power to this cinematic spectacle.
Are Sunny Deol & Vijay Sethupathi part of Ramayana movie’s cast?
The latest update reveals that Bollywood veteran Sunny Deol is on board to portray the character of Lord Hanuman. Furthermore, it is lauded as a casting made in heaven, and Deol expresses the thrill of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
A source close to the development shared, “Sunny Deol is all charged up to have gotten once in a lifetime opportunity to play Lord Hanuman. It’s a casting made in heaven, as Lord Hanuman stands for Strength, and who better than Sunny Deol in the present times to play the part with utmost conviction.”
The actor is gearing up to commence shooting for his part in Ramayana: Part One in May 2024. Though his role in the first part will be a guest appearance, the subsequent two parts of the trilogy will showcase his complete role.
The source added, “The makers are confident that after Dara Singh, it’s Sunny Deol who would be synonymous with Lord Hanuman in modern times.”
Another exciting addition to the cast is Tollywood actor Vijay Sethupathi. Sources close to the development reveal that Nitesh Tiwari has approached Sethupathi to play the role of Vibhishana, Ravana’s brother.
Tiwari, in a narration session, took Sethupathi through the script and the envisioned world for the epic trilogy. The source disclosed, “Vijay was blown away by the narration. And the visuals and has shown his interest in the film.”
While the actor has expressed his interest, he has yet to finalize the deal with the team of Ramayana.
