Dhanush’s Captain Miller and Sivakarthikeyan’s Ayalaan are enjoying their theatrical run at the box office and are now on day 12. Both films were released on January 12, 2024, to positive reception from the audiences. Besides having competition with each other, Captain Miller and Ayalaan also faced stiff competition at the box office against Teja Sajja’s HanuMan and Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram.
As of this writing, Captain Miller stands out with a rating of 7.3/10 on IMDb, while Ayalaan received 6.8/10 ratings. The two films deal with completely different premises. Whereas Captain Miller is set against the raw, rustic backdrop of British India, Ayalaan sees a modern and scientific journey of four friends along with the arrival of an alien on the earth.
Dhanush is undoubtedly one of the most beloved actors in India who has delivered so many blockbuster hits. Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan was initially a TV serial actor who tried on the big screens and achieved success with different genres.
Captain Miller vs. Ayalaan box office collection day 12 explored
Talking about the day 12 collection, Captain Miller has reportedly collected around $54.1 thousand in the rough estimates. This resulted in $5.362 million in its total India net box office collection and $7.885 million in its worldwide collection till its second Tuesday.

Now, it will be interesting to see which movie will have the most success in the box office collection after the end of its theatrical run.
