Devara postponed to late 2024 due to VFX delay
According to reports, “Devara is a high on VFX film and the output is taking longer than expected. The makers are clear to not compromise on the visuals as the stakes are high. NTR Jr. is also very cautious about next after RRR and wants to deliver a big cinematic experience. The makers are now looking to arrive in the second half of 2024.”
Along with the pending VFX work, about 20 days of shooting are also pending. Saif Ali Khan‘s injury, who plays the antagonist in Devara, has led to the postponement of the shoot. The source revealed, “They don’t want to risk shooting till the last minute and then delivering a compromised product on the edit and visual front. It’s better to wait for the right moment and come up with a film that stands true to the promises made.”
On January 8, 2024, Jr. NTR and Kortala Siva released the teaser for the movie. Jr. NTR took to social media to share the clip. He captioned the post, “The sea is full of blood.. it’s his Red Sea! All hail! All hail the tiger! #DevaraGlimpse Out now. #Devara”
In April 2021, they announced Devara under the tentative title NTR 30, marking Jr. NTR’s 30th movie in a leading role. They officially announced the title in May 2023.
